Welcome to Mission Bay
In search of a relatively new, developing neighborhood? It’s here. Mission Bay was “established” in the 1990s and is gradually continuing to blossom into a bustling neighborhood. Close to South Beach, Yerba Buena, and SOMA, there is plenty to do despite the still-expanding status of Mission Bay.
Biotechnology companies have made Mission Bay their home, as have numerous medical facilities including the UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay and a branch of Kaiser Permanente. Many students reside here due to the universities, the up-and-coming atmosphere, and the availability of public transportation.
Mission Bay isn’t known for any famous food spots yet, but there are several parks and recreation areas available, including the Mission Creek Park, which even offers kayaking.
